I had a wonderful weekend...able to visit with my Great Grandmother, and you can tell she's fading...but it was wonderful just to see her. You should be proud right? I went into the hospice! I explained before my childhood issues with them...>.<;; Besides, I was concerned when I couldn't feel her presence in there at first from outside. HA. No wonder though! I got in there, and she was so asleep we almost though she had passed on....my Dad slowly woke her up. She was so far out somewhere else-I'm sure it's pretty and peaceful. We visited..and in the end she could barely use her voice...we gave her flowers, a Christmas card, and a new blanket to keep her warm in the home. My reiki energy turned on in there big time (obviously because there are a lot of ailing folks in there), and I really felt like, she had just been pulled out of visiting with her passed on family Dad kept talking about! xD So when we left and she fell back asleep, I felt in my heart she was just going back to visit with them. She's getting ready to go. I know she is. At first I was afraid to approach her lest she pull away-or call me by her daughter's name. I've grown to be okay with her thinking that though-I understand. I know I sound nuts, but I felt an angel on her right side of her bed. Nodding that it was okay for me to touch her and give her a kiss on the head. She's so fragile now-I was afraid.

Her little area in that shared room is so perfect. The paintings on the wall are already in there-but they put her next to two bird paintings. Great Grandmother loves birds and flowers. If only she was cognizant enough to see them.

Actually, my Great Grandmother used to paint birds. I have been fortunate enough to have inherited a lot of those paintings and such things. <3

Personally, I've only painted once or twice...and it was watercolors. I tried acrylics, and they were interesting. I've only had maybe 2 or 3 art classes in my life? They were the standard ones people get. One in middle school, and then I took one in high school-so only really 2. I am not that good at art, but I do love taking photos.

Speaking of photos, I took pictures that same day in Pacific Grove and Monterey in the icy rain! I took photos on the beach, of cyprus trees, and of the ocean. I will bug my dad to give them to me. I would upload them but my mac doesn't support the program because it's for newer versions of everything-which I currently don't have. I'd use his PC and do it myself but he's OCD..so I'm waiting.

Would you like to see the photos I took when I get them? There were at least 2 or 3 I took specifically because I wanted to capture it and post it here. <3

I think when I get a job one of the first things I'll buy is a new camera. My Dad said as a reward for completing over half my schooling since I signed up in March he will try and see what he can do about getting some sort of newer computer for me-so I won't have to worry about software qualifications for anything. I'm very grateful for that. I could use something like that badly right now. As for a camera-I don't want a really fancy camera. Just a regular digital one. Those are pretty cheap. If I ever go back to college I may take a class on photography too-I'd really like to take traditional photography though. My deceased Uncle's camera would be perfect for that-but Mother probably would be too attached to let it go....I would understand that. ^^

Any who, Dad and I ate dinner at Tillie Gorts cafe. My Dad use to go there when he was in high school! It's great, if you're ever in the Monterey area. We also visited my Uncle Joe and Cathy on the way back (still the same day)...and that was a wonderful visit! He was kind enough to tell me that he was okay with helping me practice driving by coming up to where I live when I get my driver's permit (AGAIN) or I can go down and practice there at his house (he knows how my Dad can be I think)! I got to see Joey's family too...and they have a son named Noah! OMG. I remember going to their wedding! I was so happy to catch them-they seem to be doing well. Everyone did actually.

I'm off to search DMV for an appointment, and to read up more on reviews for pc towers.

Sorry I'm a bit late!

I was really busy running around with people the last few days to buy gifts last minute....

I received quite a few things I'm sure I'll enjoy this Christmas. ^.^

That includes a bookstore giftcard.....mwuahahaha. It's hard for me to go into a bookstore and not want to buy at least 5 books. -.-;;

Any who, tomorrow I'm traveling to Salinas, and Monterey, CA.
I was born on a hospital over there even though we lived in Salinas....haha TMI I know....but it's a really special place for me...and I feel so happy to get to go there tomorrow. To feel that wonderful icy pacific ocean wind, and that clean ocean smell.....it's like it purifies my soul or something! xD LOL.

Anyway...hopefully I'll get to take some pictures while we go down there. In Salinas we'll visit my almost 100 year old Great Grandmother. <3 Hopefully I'll have the courage to go into the hospice...it's hard for me to-it's not that I don't WANT to see her.

When I was about 2 years old I went to quite a few funerals..and a lot of 'homes' like that. Everyone died on Mom's side except her sister, her sister's son, her, and I. Her side of the family was practically gone that year. So you see why I may have issues going into them now. Even if I love the people in them. I'll do my best!!

On a much BRIGHTER note....I don't start school again until the 9th of January, and then I have time off until May because all the classes cycling through in the field of study I'm doing, are repeats until then. xD I COULD take them, but it'd be pointless....I may talk to the teachers if Ayurveda or Herbs have a different emphasis this time though. They are HUGE subjects. ^^ So we'll see. I might get some time off otherwise.
In other news I'm going to drive this year. T_T

Normally I don't write rant journals, so I hope this makes you laugh. But the holiday shopping season is a reason for me to.....I'm in what my friends and I like to call an "eeh" mood. Maybe you've had one.
Partial rage/partial head in the clouds/zoning out/episodes of mass spazz world all combined in short periods of time. Interchangeable and unpredictable.

Yay. u.u;; I blame the weather....but also the fact I've had more caffeine the last two or three days than I have in a while. I get hyped up...and then when I come down... I'm just...I don't know what. By the way kids:

Caffeine is a DRUG.

But damn it's good in coffee, tea, and chocolate. D8

So little things have been irking me offline...and I thought I'd post them here to see whether or not I'm alone in finding them annoying or obnoxious:

1) People who don't stop in parking lots.
When you're walking in them, or even if you're in a car, and you're backing out...and they DON'T STOP...and almost hit you. *eyebrow twitches in rage*
WELCOME TO CALIFORNIA! (we're fuckers I know)

2) People who get pissy when you drive the speed limit because you don't want a ticket (or in some peoples' cases...another ticket) If you can afford the ticket or your car insurance sky rocketing, by all means, speed or whatever-just don't make it other people's problems who can't afford it! D8<

3) People who try and cut in line in stores or cafes or whatnot.
What are you people!? Four years old? I make it a point to jab icy comments to people like that.

4) Crowds.
Holidays are the worst time for someone like me to go anywhere. I freak out in crowds sometimes.....
I'm one of those people who absorb other peoples emotions and walk around like a tea kettle about to boil over if they aren't sending out pleasant emotional signals.
WOOHOO. I usually try and visualize a barrier around me to prevent that. Did I today? Oh hell no. I went to the San Francisco East Bay (north of San Jose) and didn't. Godamnit. That was MY fault. u.u;; I ADMIT it. *sticks tongue out*

5) Annoying details.
People who order things at some outrageous temperature and a bunch of other bullshit custom parts of their order I've never heard before at cafes. I understand some people are very particular...or OCD. I've known a few people like that. But people who exude: I'm going to take all the time in the world....and my nose is so high in the air it'd be as tall as mount everest because I'm better than everyone else here......with my 'fancy' drink...just piss me off!

Also: the same person in line when they pick up their drink and then bug the 'barista' or whatever again about some little tiny detail that they hold everyone else up for. FUCK YOU.

6) People I feel sorry for:
Anyone who has to work retail this time of year. u.u;;;
