Is it just me or is it unfair that anime companies don't effectively sponsor many of the stories that have badass material unless there's some kind of high school girl, or big breasted sexy chick in it? not that I'm complaining but..............

I mean, I've always been a fan of manga more than anime. But things have been getting more noticeably ridiculous! D8<

I mean, the Chrno Crusade manga is one of my favorite mangas ever, and the anime was some kind of fucked up religious stigmata/posession shit thing, and dressing Rosette up like a faded out goth on oxycontin. T_T; Not to mention Chrno didn't transform as much as he did in the manga, and did I mention that the manga's ending was EPIC? It wasn't all...WTF sad as hell slit your wrists like the anime. Geezus. *face palm*
Don't even get me started on the Saiyuki anime. It's fun and all, and I really REALLY LOVE the seiyuu, but up until the Saiyuki Burial OVA, I've felt that as a unique story it's really been ignored and trashed with bad art from studios, and people who fucked up story lines (AGAIN).
...and what about Dogs: Bullets and Carnage OVA? I saw the first two, and the next is coming out this month. I have to say I was somewhat disappointed with the color pallete they chose for the characters, and I was impressed that Akira Ishida ended up pulling off Bado(u) just fine (he's Cho Hakkai in Saiyuki). That was actually impressive, though I have to say it tripped me out a bit...I had to watch it a few times before I got used to it. Again, who knows, if they DO end up making a regular anime of it, wait until Shirow Miwa gets farther into the story, don't fuck it up like you do everything else that I like! D8< *shakes fist at anime studios*
Also, I finished watching the Loveless anime (I know I'm a few years late..but I was in no state of mind to watch it before...don't ask). It was really good, I loved a lot of it. But again, another story that could have gone on longer. I guess the lack of panty shots and breasts made it really boring for everyone. T_T;
In short:
Hey man, I love ecchi things as much as the next chick (believe me), but I like stories that are at the very least TRYING to be original or somewhat philosophical or just kick ass....and every time I find one it either is made into an anime and massacred, or it's cut off......or the art is so terrible it makes me want to go WTF happened to Gojyo's hair? O_o; Sanzo's face? WTF?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! *spazz*
I also watched Utawarerumono recently and I really like it.......>////<
It's one of those shows that's different (rpg adventure style anime anyone?) lol. Actually, two animes I like...wait no....3...are based on H games.
Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito is a fav, and if I'm not mistaken Strawberry Panic was originally a H game as well as Utawarerumono. *shivers*
I'm sorry I'm not a fan of lolicon. Unless its fashion. Then I'm cool with EGL. I love Gosurori. ^^ I hate pinks. It takes a very special person to even START to make me tolerate the sugary sweet loli types. Unless I already know them, then I usually just go *squee* and say "omg you're adorable in that outfit" or "y'know what lolita designer did you buy that from?....really? There was another outfit on there that I think would suit you better, I can send it to you if you'd like...^^"
Which of course is ridiculous. Considering I look like crap IRL over 90% of the time. Which, I'm really trying to fix. I'm trying to not be down on myself, I've made a bit of progress with liking who I am, and that's important rule numero UNO! xD *Kelly dances*
Shit. We went from kicking asses of manga-to-animes that are MASSACRED, to animes based on H games, to Japanese Lolita Fashion, to my self esteem issues. WTF.

P.S. Am I the only one who thinks it would be a mistake if a major studio ignored Saiyuki Gaiden and didn't make it into an OVA or whatever? I think...that if it was the right thing...it could just be...so awesome! xD
